Buona Sera in Wilkes-Barre

Lived up to our expectations. Wonderful dinner.

Not only was the food excellent but the service was outstanding! Came for Father’s Day and my mother’s birthday which fell on the same day. We all extremely enjoyed our meals. Ordered the eggplant roltini to start, lobster ravioli, penne vodka w/ shrimp, chicken Alfredo, and linguini w/ red clam sauce. Paired with the moscato..delicious. Highly recommend!! What a hidden gem in a most unlikely place.

The food was excellent. The service was perfect a d the price, very reasonable.

I stopped in today because I had a dog grooming at the pet boutique down the street; “Shampoodles Classic Pet Salon”, great job by the way👍🏾 Yeah, this food was soooooooooo gooood. Great Service; but the food I had was ... The Beef Special, two sides 😢. This is how good it was... I don’t know if it’s the Casino or what over there in plains but ... Wow. I was sad eating the last bite; with gravy and mushroom sauce over boneless beef ribs🤤

Amazing food with some of the friendliest staff. It's a charming little place that makes you feel as if you are in a Michelin starred restaurant. Try the veal, it is tender and delicious

This is my first time eating here the food was exceptionally good. The service was excellent. The place was very well decorated and it gave you that authentic feel. A nice Escape more like a DINN-CATION

First visit here and we will definitely return. Excellent service and food. Large pours of wine and drinks. Food portions were large. The stuffed mushrooms were excellant and the champagne sauce was wonderful. They consistently filled our water glasses and we never felt rushed. My only negative and the reason I did not give 5 stars was we asked for separate checks for a table of 4 and we were told they would not do this. They did split the check in half and allowed us to pay with separate cards.

This was our first visit to Bueno Sera Italian restaurant. Being Sicilian, I was impressed with the Albania chiefs and personable owner.Our food was hot and the service was excellent.

Very nice cozy restaurant. Our service was friendly & attentive, the owner even stopped by out table to make sure we were enjoying everything. All the food we had was delicious and well presented! Will definitely return!!

The food was absolutely amazing. Staff was friendly and food was so so reasonably priced. I mean, olive garden is more expensive and by far less delicious.they made the outside dining area BEAUTIFUL and before tonight I had yet to find a good chicken franchase anywhere. Well I found it. Spaghetti sauce was completley home made and delicious. And deserts were amazing as well. No doubt an amazing place will 100% return.

Second time here, Just as good as our first visit last December 30th. Service, Food and prices are all great! The owner takes your order and is working the dining room to make sure all is well! Asked for a red sauce instead of the demi-glaze and it was no problem and it was exceptional!

Amazing food. A hidden gem indeed! Great service. Went there a little late to celebrate my graduation however, they did not rush us out and were more than happy to serve us dessert. We didnt abuse our stay either but i didnt want to leave! Will be back

We have been here several times and all of the entres are excellent. We really enjoy the salad, it's large, fresh and the house dressing is perfectly balanced. The servers are all very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is off the beaten path but worth trying if you are looking for a nice atmosphere and great food.

The food we had was delicious, I'm giving this two stars because our amazing dinner was interrupted this past Monday by the owner screaming at his young female wait staff, he did it outside in earshot of everyone dining. They seemed to be short staffed and the wait staff was great and doing the best job they could for how busy it was. If the owner can't take the pressure of a busy night, he may be in the wrong business. We will not be going back.

This is a fancy down to earth restaurant with great food and 5 star service. Never judge a book by its cover. All the beauty is on the inside when u walk in. Antonio (the owner) is the second reason you will keep coming back!!

Great food and service. All employees were very attentive to our table and everything we needed. Portions were a great size. Was not expensive for my nephew and I to eat either. Highly recommend

Buona Sera is a kind of special occasion place for my family. We have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here. Coming to Buona Sera after church for one of those big meals was the time for me to wear a fancy outfit and get my hair curled when I was younger. Very special still.

I don’t think I have ever had a better dining experience in all of Northeastern Pennsylvania! I showed up around 6 on a Saturday night; figured we had stumbled upon a random Italian place for dinner. We were happily surprised to see the hole in the wall turn into a magically beautiful atmosphere where the most amazing host greeted us. You could tell he was a little panicked since we didn’t have a reservation but made room for my partner and I. We had a beautiful meal that you could tell was made with finesse. The owner/host circled back around to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and welcomed us as it was our first time. It was a nice personal touch on top of everything else. Great food, great atmosphere, great service!!!!

Always a great relaxing dinner at Buona Sera, Toni and his staff are fantastic from taking your orders to serving. This is the best Italian in the area with two of my favorites, shrimp scampi over linguine and ravioli with red meat sauce both are great! You will not be disappointed or go home hungry the servings are a good plate. I would recommend making reservation.

First time at this restaurant. Very very good Italian food. Excellent service. Wish I took some pictures, I would recommend this restaurant!Update: 2nd visit proved that Buona Sera has consistent, excellent food and service. We where greeted promptly and seated. Our drink order was taken quickly and bread provided. Appetizers included Clams Casino and Stuffed Mushrooms. Enough to share.Dinners where Shrimp Scampi, Braised Pork shank, Sole stuffed with Crab stuffing and topped with shrimp, Shrimp Franchisee made gluten free! All where worthy of ordering again!

Simple...great food, first class service, and...an owner who makes you feel like you're sitting at his dining room table at home. It was a true dining experience. Thanks for making it a memorable birthday dinner!!

Was so pleasantly surprised that this place was as amazing as it was. The prices were fair for the quality of food, which was superb. The speciality drinks were delicious (and a touch strong) will definitely be visiting again. Just gotta try remembering to save space for dessert next time. That creme brulee was calling my name but was to stuffed to eat any more.

Buona Sera is the best Italian restaurant in the area. Food is excellent. Perfectly sized portions, served steaming hot. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The owners and staff treat you like family.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere and excellent service. We dined outside, very nice set up. We had a total of 3 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 meals and took 2 desserts to go, all for just under $100!! I couldn’t believe how inexpensive it was. It’s too bad we live in Long Island NY because I would definitely come back often.

This place is absolutely fantastic!! Stuffed mushrooms are delicious, along with everything else they have to offer. Veal was tender full of flavor, stuffed chicken was wonderful. Staff is absolutely first class, making you feel like you are part of the family. You need to give this place a try!

Food... wonderful. Prices... average. Decor... ehh. Nice place to go if you want a nice dinner at a reasonable price. Service was good. Very attentive. Would recommend and will visit again.

First visit here. I heard some great reviews so I had to check it out. The place is super clean with a nice atmosphere. The service was outstanding. The staff work as a team to make sure each part of your visit is attended to. I had the chicken with the champagne sauce and my mom had the shrimp linguini and both were good choices. They brought out the desert tray and we decided on the tiramisu which completed our wonderful meal.
